REDUCT has introduced new intelligent decision support software for business and industry. Key sectors to benefit are process and manufacturing industries, utilities, health care and insurance, research/consulting companies, and government organizations (see REDUCT customers). The target users are: 1) REDUCT customers for decision support systems and 2) independent software developers who develop decision support software for the listed sectors. The systems provide critical information for making decisions from real time data and for historical information. Application examples are fault diagnosis in manufacturing, health cost containment, optimization of process plants, fraud detection in Web-based financial transactions, etc. Optim.NET and ForecasterDotNet are state-of-the-art intelligent decision support software based on REDUCT proprietary approximate reasoning algorithms. The systems provide automated reasoning capabilities from data including: - recommend best actions - explain rational for recommended actions/decisions - provide multiple choices for making decisions in complex situations - rank decisions in terms of their value and ease of implementing - trace recommended decisions to past historical data/events - provide users with all required support for making decision This means better more cost effective decisions and rich support for decision making. Optim.NET and ForecasterDotNet user interfaces can be customized at different levels of knowledge generalization addressing different needs and requirements.
